The Sword belt was described as Russia Leather edged with gold lace with 'D's on the inside of the belt for sword and sabretache slings which were 1" wide also edged with gold lace. The buckles were similar to those on the RA slings.
The Shoulder Belt was also 2 inches wide of Russia Leather edged with gold lace with a wavy line of lace in the middle. with gilt Buckle, Tip and Slide. The triangular tip had the VR cypher within. The pouch ha a black patent leather flap with the Royal Arms in gilt on it.
The Sabretache was black leather of standard dimensions bearing a gilt coat of arms on the flap.
The RE Sword was of infantry pattern from 1885. The hilt was of gilded metal and the sword knot was the acorn.
