The history of the military uniform postcard postcard or card format goes back to the 19th Century. They were extremely popular items in the 19th Century as were many things “military” . The French artists Toussaint, Taconville, Lalisse, and Bucquoy are among the best known. In our massive collection of plates we have literally hundreds of these items which we are now publishing in a beautiful and affordable 5 in. X 7 in. format. While the earlier cards were often printing using the rather primitive chromolith process on poor quality non-archival paper ours are printed using modern computer technology on a beautiful glossy stock far exceeding the originals in color and quality and detail. While originals sell for $15 or more each, ours sell for only $9.95 per set with as many as twelve plates in each.
Now the modern historian, artist, or wargamer can amass a beautiful collection of these famous and interesting plates at a fraction of the cost of originals.
