Though best remembered for UNIFORMENKUNDE Richard Knötel was a talented artist with many more projects to his credit. No series better illustrates his talent than this 1899 work depicting scenes of life in the peace time German Army. In addition to the beautiful uniform illustrations it is an excellent reflection of late 19th Century life.
