Napoleon III and his Guard by Maurice Toussaint

We have combined our two most popular French Second Empire sets by Toussaint into one set of prints. Printed as cards in the 1890’s the set covers the Guard and its uniform changes during the Empire. Many of the changes though quite subtle are well illustrated. This was one of the most colorful periods of uniformology and this set printed on a special watercolor textured paper to replicate the originals is very attractive.
