Ottenfeld's Austrian Army 1700-1867

Though these prints were done in the 19th Century they are more typical of the more contemporary work we see today. The work of Rudolph von Ottenfeld is considered to be the most accurate depiction of the Austrian Armies of the 18th and 19th Centuries. We are proud to present the prints from the original book DIE OSTERREICH ARMEE 1700 - 1867 published in Austria in 1895. The book from which these plates have been reproduced sold for $2,500 U.S. in 1997. We have divided our set of 70 plates into four sets: the Seven Years War, the Napoleonic Wars 1 and 2 and the 19th Century. Because of the quality of the paintings and the subtleties that they exhibit we reproduce these prints on a quite expensive paper which makes them somewhat more costly than our regular plates.
