This collection of 26 plates from Knötel’s UNIFORMENKUNDE illustrates armies of Austria, Hungary, Sardinia, Parma, Prussia, Frankfurt a. M., Baden, Schleswig-Holstein and Sweden plus notes.
Book 10- Maison du Roi- Household Troops of the King’s of France 1445-1789 - This book has 28 plates from Marbot published in the 1840's plus 7 plates from Lienhart and Humbert and detailed notes by Bruce Bassett-Powell. The Maison du Roi was the largest group of Royal Household troops in history. Book 11 - Ottenfeld’s Austrian Army 1840-1866 - 20 color reproductions of the uniforms of from Ottenfeld and Teubers book published in 1895 plua two color plates of Ottenfeld’s illustrations of cavalry, infantry and jaeger weapons from 1840-1866.and notes on the army and uniforms. Ottenfeld is considered a major authority on the Austrian army of the 19th Century. Two more volumes will be forthcoming in the Ottenfeld range with Austrian uniforms of the 17th Century and the Napoleonic Wars. Book 12 - Chelminski’s Army of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw 1807-1813 Vol. I - general officers, general staff, aides de camp, artillery, horse artillery, medical corps, academics, Commissaire de Guerres, Commandant du Place, engineers, Corps of
Poniatowski’s Guides and the gendarmes. There are 19 full color reproductions of Chelminski paintings plus one plate of drawings of buttons lace, etc. The book also has notes on each plates and a translation of the original uniform regulations for the subjects. Two more works will follow, one covering the infantry and the other the cavalry.
