The Italian Armies of the Risorgimento 1847-1870

Beginning in 1847 until 1870 the separate Kingdoms and states of Italy went through the tumultuous period known as the RISORGIEMENTO. It culminated with the unification of Italy. The military uniforms of the major combatants are represented her in our new set taken from Knötel's UNIFORMENKUNDE. The uniforms are typical of most European countries of the period and have obvious German, Austrian and French influences with a splash of Italian color.
